RWE, the world's No. 2 in offshore wind power, has been pre-qualified for the competitive bidding procedure for projects in the ninth offshore wind power tender (AO9) launched by the French government.
The 4 projects are exclusively extensions of projects already awarded or in the process of being awarded, and will be located in Brittany, on the South Atlantic coast and in the Mediterranean Sea. The call for tenders was launched in August 2024 and the winner is expected to be announced at the end of 2025.
