DemoSATH is a demonstrator with an installed capacity of 2 MW located at the BIMEP test site in the Bay of Biscay, Spain. The floating platform, developed by the company SAITEC, is made of prestressed concrete elements and consists of two horizontal cylindrical hulls with conical ends connected by concrete joints. It is moored by a single point mooring, which allows the platform to rotate and keep the wind turbine facing into the wind.

RWE is the sole investor in this project, with exclusive access to feedback and priority access to this technology. 75% of suppliers are located within 25 km of the Port of Bilbao.
